Miriam School accepts applications and admits qualified students on a rolling basis throughout the school year. - Schedule a Tour or Attend an Open House
We invite interested parents to make an appointment for a personal guided tour of our facilities and meeting with the Director of Admissions during school hours. Tours last approximately an hour and are available most weekdays between 9 am – 2:30 pm. Tours may be scheduled by contacting the admissions office at 314.968-5225 or using the link below. Families are also welcome to attend one of our Open House events. These sessions are held on Sunday afternoons and offer a chance for families to tour our facility, speak to faculty and staff, and receive application information. Reservations are not necessary for Open House events.

- Submit an Application
During the tour or Open House event, an application packet is reviewed with parents who wish to apply. Applications may be made at any time; however, due to limited enrollment, applying early is advised. Applications will be considered once they are complete with the following information:
- Completed Miriam School Application
- Signed intake release form
- Current educational, psychological and/or neurological evaluations that include intelligence,
achievement and emotional/social assessment
- Most recent academic report card
- $65 non-refundable application fee
- A current photo of your child
- The Student Visit
Upon receipt of the above information, the Director of Admissions and the admissions committee will review the submitted materials. Applicants are considered without regard to race, sex, age, religion, or ethnic origin. After the admissions committee reviews the application and determines that Miriam School might be an option for the potential student, that student will be invited to visit the school for two full days in a typical classroom. The visit includes participation in class activities, lunch, recess, and informal observation by our staff. This time allows the student to experience our school environment and allows our admissions team and faculty to observe a child’s learning style. Parents are also invited to observe for a portion of the visit days.
- Variable Tuition
Miriam School and Miriam Academy are committed to meeting the needs of students who benefit from our programs. The tuition at Miriam School and Academy is not “one size fits all.” Rather, we match your tuition rate, within a certain range, to your family’s unique financial position. After the student visit is scheduled, families interested in variable tuition simply submit an application to a confidential 3rd party service online. - Committee Review
Acceptance to Miriam School is on a rolling basis. After a prospective student has visited the school, teachers and administrators will determine whether the school would meet the applicant’s needs. If the school has space and it is determined that our program could a student’s needs, an offer for acceptance will be made by the Director of Admissions. Should classes be full, the child will be placed in a waiting pool for the next available space in an appropriate classroom. Miriam School’s specialized methods of instruction serve students whose diagnoses fall within the mission of the school very well. All applicants are assessed individually by gathering feedback from many perspectives and reviewing diagnostic information. Although families feel that Miriam School may be the best place for the student, the student’s profile may not be the best fit for Miriam School. If our program is not an appropriate placement for your child, you will be notified by the Director of Admissions. Whenever possible we will try to make suggestions regarding other school options that might be pursued.
